Both clubs have lost six of their last 10 games, and it's tough to trust the rookie in this spot. While the A's are swinging the hotter bats, I like them to rally behind Perkins and score enough against Anderson to keep it close.

The Marlins have the edge with the more proven frontline starter, and if Alcantara continues his pattern of bouncing back after tougher outings, he should be able to neutralize the Royals' lineup through the opening five innings.

If Boston continues its recent offensive form while Bennett and the bullpen allow Baltimore to stay within striking distance, another game with plenty of scoring is the most likely outcome.

Despite 25 runs scored with both teams starting their aces on Tuesday, I favor the under in Wednesday's matchup between the Pirates and Giants. Both Landen Roupp and Jared Jones are arms I am fond of and I expect strong outings from both.
