With Peralta making his first appearance for his new team, Hughes continuing to show promise, and both clubs likely leaning on rested bullpens if needed, this game has a better chance of staying below the lofty total than many will expect. Even at Coors Field, the number feels a bit too high.

The Cubs are one of the hottest hitting teams, and we've seen this Dodgers lineup struggle as of late, losing six of their last 10 games. Even with Skubal getting the start, I like this Cubs offense to find a way to score enough runs and keep this one close.

Both Jared Jones and Logan Henderson are electric young right-handers that are in elite form entering Monday's game. Both arms have done tremendously well at generating strikeouts while limiting walks and avoiding hard contact allowed. I lean towards the under on the total in this game.

Minnesota enters with far more urgency as it continues its postseason push, while Kansas City's season has shifted toward evaluation. Joe Ryan gives the Twins a significant edge despite Randy Dobnak's 7 shutout inning win against them on July 29. Expect Minnesota to make the necessary adjustments and win comfortably.
