Jeffrey Springs owns a 6.23 ERA and 1.45 ERA on the season, and he is dealing with a nagging hip injury. Casey Mize has been solid for Detroit, but the bullpen has not. Both offenses should be able to do some damage in this one.

The Mets have played better baseball since the all-star break and their record does not reflect this. Freddy Peralta's strikeout ability gives New York the edge over Janson Junk in terms of starting pitching, while the Mets' elite bullpen and Miami's 21-32 road record further strengthen the case. Take the Metropolitans on the run line.

We have 2 excellent pitchers on the mound in Dylan Cease and Kyle Leahy. Cease should win the Cy Young, and Leahy hasn't had a bad outing in over a month. Both offenses have been struggling too. Runs should be hard to come by tonight.

While Skenes has been the better starter this year, it's hard to trust a Pittsburgh team that's struggled offensively. Greene has had his ups and down too, but I simply don't think either team will generate much offense against these starters. Look for a lot of strikeouts in this one.
